This is a silly thing but a friend of mine reblogged my shelf of books and tagged it “you work so fucking hard grrl”
And it really touched me, to be applauded not for my “talent” (which I don’t believe in and have no control over) or my “skill” (again, I don’t believe in it)… but to have her go “you work so fucking hard”… that’s a compliment I can agree with, I guess?
I mean not by the standards of actual hard work that like cleaners and teachers and nurses and stuff do, obviously. But I do put a lot of time and energy and care into trying to produce good work. And it was just a really nice feeling for *that* to be the aspect of the photo that impressed my friend the most. :o)
